The Family and The Tenuta

1938

The Cosulich Family acquired properties and land in Collalbrigo as a vacation estate. Here, house wines were produced for many years.

1967

Alberto Cosulich enlarged the winery and built the cellar, launching a business in winemaking.

1984

Alberto’s son Francesco took over the estate, bringing the winery to actual dimensions and establishing Collabrigo’s wines internationally.

2018

Francesco’s sons started managing the estate, expanding its reach and becoming the fourth generation of family members to become wine producers in Collalbrigo.

The territory

The Hill of Collalbrigo

Tenuta di Collalbrigo is located in the heart of the DOCG Prosecco hills, between the towns of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. Collalbrigo is the small and old village (‘il Borgo storico’) which sits on top of the hill. Here, winemaking has been present since 1276. In July 2019, the DOCG area of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene were given the prestigious status of UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In August 2019, Collalbrigo became a ‘Rive’, the grand cru of Prosecco.

Our Wines

Premium wines of class and style

Our wines are the product of low-yielding vineyards in hills formed by Dolomites’ glacier movements. On average, our vineyards are 25-30 years old and the soil composition is of clay and pebbles. Collalbrigo’s wines were amongst the first to receive recognition by Burton Anderson in his famous ‘Guide to Italian Wines’ in the 70s.

Since then, it has been under the radar of all major wine magazines and with columnists such as Veronelli, Gambero Rosso, 2000 Vini, Robert Parker, Wine Spectator, Wine and Spirit, having achieved 90+ ratings with some of the best opinion makers and influencers. Collalbrigo’s bottle designs have received multiple awards. Most recently, in 2019 Collalbrigo’s design won the Open Art Award for best label.
